AMD has officially announced the long-awaited Ryzen 9000 series processors. Launching on July 31st, this new series consists of four different models based on AMD’s Zen 5 architecture. These new processors, which attract attention with their performance increases, aim to offer a great advantage especially in gaming and productivity areas. Although no pricing information has been shared yet, the features and innovations of the series are already generating great interest.
Ryzen 9000 series features and performance increases
AMD’s new Ryzen 9000 series consists of four different models: Ryzen 9 9950X, Ryzen 9 9900X, Ryzen 9 9900X, Ryzen 7 9700X and Ryzen 5 9600X. These new processors offer significant performance gains with the Zen 5 architecture. Specifically, the Ryzen 9 9900X is claimed to perform 11% better than the popular Intel Core i9 14900K and deliver a 21% increase in overall productivity.
The Ryzen 7 9700X aims to outperform the current Ryzen 7 5800X3D. Already a great option for a powerful gaming PC, the Ryzen 7 5800X3D is currently available on Amazon for $339. So it might make sense to opt for this processor even before the new Ryzen 9000 series arrives.

Each model of the Ryzen 9000 series is optimized for specific use cases:
– Ryzen 9 9950X: 16 cores, 32 threads
– Ryzen 9 9900X: 12 cores, 24 threads
– Ryzen 7 9700X: 8 cores, 16 threads
– Ryzen 5 9600X: 6 cores, 12 threads
While pre-orders are not yet open, we will update these lists as soon as retailers open their doors. Right now, AMD and Intel processors are at deep discounts, such as the Ryzen 7 5800X for just $190 (down from $449) and the Intel Core i9-13900KF for $426 (down from $599).
